Do I really need to go to church?
Involvement in a local church is Godís will for all of us. A church family can celebrate our victories with us, encourage and comfort us when we face struggles, and help us to grow. We understand Godís word better by studying it together. Scripture tells us that there is power in praying together.
The New Testament gives us a picture of Christians serving, worshipping and following God together. You can learn a lot online, but it is simply no substitute for involvement with real people in a real church.
Many of the most worthwhile things in life simply cannot be accomplished alone, and thankfully, we donít have to try. Whether at East Tenth Street Church or somewhere else, it is vital for you to become involved in a loving, Bible-believing church. Doing so doesnít have to be a hardship; it is often a lot of fun!
Will I be welcome at your church?
Everyone is welcome, and we canít wait for you to join us!
Are people of all races welcome at your church?
Absolutely, you are welcome here! God loves all people and so do we. We welcome those of all races to worship with us and add the richness of their background to our church family.
What can I expect if I come there?
You will find a family of believers who enjoy worshipping together, serving together, and growing in their faith together. Our Sunday morning worship services include singing, Scripture, communion and a message from Godís word. There is an opportunity to respond to the message with a decision, but that is always voluntary. There is an offering, but as our guest you should not feel obligated to give. As our guest, you will not be singled out or called on; we just want you to feel at home with us.
Is there anything for my children?
Absolutely! We are thankful to be a multi-generational church, with a wide range of ages, including many children. We are happy to provide quality programming for children, youth and adults at all services, plus special events and programs for children and youth at different times. We have beautiful, well-staffed and safe nurseries during all regular services.
